Grace's JDRF Walk Letter

Dear Friends -

Picture a little girl. Picture her smile to brighten the world. Picture the smile disappearing, as she has a needle put in her belly to change her insulin pump.

This little girl is our Grace. This little girl could also be one of the thousands of little girls around the world. And there are too many more who have yet to find out they have diabetes. One could be your neighbor. One could be your friend. One could be your child.

Picture this sweet little girl. Picture her sleeping, sweet dreams in her head. Picture her parents pricking her finger for a blood sugar check, just to be sure she'll make it through the night.

Taking action now can help find a cure for diabetes - a cure that would help Grace, a cure that would keep other children from ever knowing what it's like to have diabetes.

Picture millions of people walking in different places all over the world. Picture holding Grace's hand as she walks. Picture Grace smiling.

Join us as we walk with hope. Smile with us as we know we're walking to find a cure. We'll be walking in Nashville with the JDRF Walk for a Cure on September 19th at Bicentennial Mall. We would love to have you there with us. Or, we would love to have you walk as a part of our Grace's Goals team at a Walk near you.

If you can't be with us (and even if you can!), please consider donating to JDRF(Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). JDRF is the leader in research to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. We are so thankful to have JDRF as a part of our lives, not only for the research they do, but for the support they offer our family and everyone with Type 1 diabetes.  To find out more about Juvenile diabetes or the walk, go to www.jdrf.org. You can make online donations there (search for Grace's name in Tennessee), or register to be part of Grace's team. You can also mail any donation to us or to JDRF's office in Nashville.

Thank you for your love and support.

Monique, Mike, Grace and Claire Kueker
